All registrant files are maintained digitally through centralized systems designed to support accuracy, audit readiness, and ongoing regulatory compliance.

How Licence Parking Works

The licence parking process is digitally managed and typically completed within 1–3 business days:

1. Submit information using secure online Registration Form.

2. Details verified, transfer completed through RECO’s portal.

3. Confirmation issued once RECO completes the transfer.

4. Registrant’s digital file activated for ongoing compliance.

All registration requests are reviewed and processed in accordance with RECO requirements.

Matt Cooper has been licensed in Ontario since January 15, 2003, earned his Real Estate Broker’s Licence in 2006, received Craig Proctor’s Quantum Leap Award in 2007 for “Most exceptional gains in Real Estate success achieved through aggressive and inspired implementation of the Quantum Leap Real Estate Success System,” and was inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame in 2008 after surpassing $1 million in earned commissions.

He currently serves as Owner and Broker of Record for DURHAM HOME KEY REALTY, and pens the occasional industry observation over at the Broker’s Corner Blog, where governance, vendor risk, industry participation, and operational reality tend to collide in plain English.

As Broker of Record, Matt is legally responsible for regulatory oversight, documentation integrity, operational supervision, and brokerage compliance, and acts as the primary liaison with Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO).

The brokerage’s administrative systems were purpose-built to satisfy Broker of Record obligations within a licence-parking structure. The model is designed to provide registrants with a stable, compliant operating environment where licences remain active, organized, properly supervised, and operationally governed.

Licence Transfer Specialist

Kendell Attrux has been licensed in Ontario since September 12, 2005 and brings more than 20 years of active industry experience.

As Licence Transfer Specialist, she manages the full administrative lifecycle of each transfer, including licence verification, RECO portal submissions, transfer tracking, secure digital record-keeping, and ongoing renewal coordination.

Each registrant file is handled through a consistent, end-to-end process overseen by a single specialist, reducing errors and ensuring clarity throughout the registrant’s time with the brokerage.
