The brokerage operates as a licence parking and administrative environment, supporting registrants who are stepping back from transactional work while maintaining uninterrupted registration with the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO). The focus is licence continuity, regulatory alignment, and long-term professional flexibility.
Brokerage Structure and Governance
DURHAM HOME KEY REALTY is a cloud-based Ontario brokerage structured specifically for licence parking and compliance administration.
The brokerage does not operate as a high-volume trading environment and does not market transactional real estate services as its primary function. This deliberate separation reduces operational risk and ensures registrants are aligned with an environment appropriate to their professional status and intent.
All registrant files are maintained digitally through centralized systems designed to support accuracy, audit readiness, and ongoing regulatory compliance.
How Licence Parking Works
The licence parking process is digitally managed and typically completed within 1–3 business days:
1. Submit information using secure online Registration Form.
2. Details verified, transfer completed through RECO’s portal.
3. Confirmation issued once RECO completes the transfer.
4. Registrant’s digital file activated for ongoing compliance.

Meet Matt Cooper - Owner, CEO & The Broker of Record
Matt Cooper has been licensed in Ontario since January 15, 2003 and currently serves as the Broker of Record for DURHAM HOME KEY REALTY.
He is legally responsible for regulatory oversight, documentation integrity, and operational control across the brokerage, and acts as the primary liaison with RECO.
The brokerage’s administrative systems have been purpose-built to meet Broker of Record obligations within a licence-parking model. This structure provides registrants with a stable, compliant operating environment in which their licence remains active, organized, and properly governed.
Meet Kendell Attrux - Owner, CFO & Licence Transfer Specialist
Kendell Attrux has been licensed in Ontario since September 12, 2005 and brings more than 20 years of active industry experience.
As Licence Transfer Specialist, she manages the full administrative lifecycle of each transfer, including licence verification, RECO portal submissions, transfer tracking, secure digital record-keeping, and ongoing renewal coordination.
Each registrant file is handled through a consistent, end-to-end process overseen by a single specialist, reducing errors and ensuring clarity throughout the registrant’s time with the brokerage.
